Scatter plot of THC versus THCA concentrations in strains sold in the New Jersey medicinal marijuana program. Each data point represents two values from a single strain: its concentration of Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and of Tetrahydrocannabinol acid (THCA). Some THC does accumulate in flower product, and in higher levels in strains that have the highest THCA concentration, though the relationship is not a liner one. In those strains in which the levels do accumulate in sufficient quantity, that quantity should be taken into account when characterizing the full cannabinoid content of strain.
